  I have stayed a few times @ 'the Charles '. I thoroughly recommend it as a very central place to stay with optimum access to varied eating establishments and proximity to central Launceston. The staff are extremely helpful and pleasant in their discharging of duties. It is a 5* establishment.

  We had a group of 20 ladies that went for a High Tea with a variety of dietary requirements. Service was amazing, everyone was catered for. Food was fantastic! We will be back!!!

  The room was good, unfortunately the curtains were shifting shades which was not conducive to my partners epilepsy. I spoke to the front desk which was the great stand out, the front desk service desk operator Steve was amazingly supportive and gave off a very professional vibe which was a stark contrast to many other hotels In Tasmania. Simply because of Steve's great professional service I would recommend the Mantra 100%. Great stay :)

  Good: Modern rooms, friendly staff, 24 hour reception, central location. Bad: limited car parking, some rooms seem a bit small, not all rooms have view. Tip: i found the heat pump in the room can be noisy (but necessary on cold Launceston nights!), so try putting the pump on night mode - it was much quieter.

  The front desk were very helpful and friendly throughout our stay. The Charles Mantra is very close to the centre of town. The rooms are very spacious and ameniities were provided. We stayed in an interconnecting room and felt alot of privacy. One of the rooms was equipped with a microwave, sink and hotplate which would be very useful if we wished to cook. The bathrooms were very clean and modern. The curtains weren't exactly good for blacking out the room but we managed. The TV provided has foxtel (for all ye sport fanatics). There are really good restaurants near by i.e. Geronimo. The first three floors make up the Mantra hotel, and the rest of the building are private residences.
