  We had previously visited the Kermandie Hotel 8 years ago and it was a very poor dining experience. We stopped for a drink on Friday and we were pleasantly surprised by the changed look inside. It is beautiful with friendly staff and a great atmosphere. We will definitely return for a meal in the near future.

  We went to the Kermandie hotel for tea last night and found that the hotel had a very relaxed atmosphere. The service was excellent and our young waitress was great for someone who had only been there for a month.We started with chicken satay but both found there was not much flavor in the satay sauce but the chicken was very tender. For main i had the surf and turf the meat was cooked well but the prawns were small and quite soft.My partner tried the lamb shank which i thought was the best meal of the night very tender meat falling of the bone. For dessert we tried the banana brandy snap which to our disappointment the brandy snap was over cooked and burnt but the caramal sauce and cream went very well together with the banana, overall a little disappointed with the food but our waitress was excellent and helped to make our experience a good one

  Our 1st impressions were great! An historic Hotel now under new management (March 2018) and providing a new base for custom. Staying a night we ate a hearty meal at the bar choosing to avoid the St Patric's night gig. The room is exceptionally wll presented and we were impressed. However being Kiwis we weren't used to the hard outback mattress springs! But putting that aside this historic hotel is an exceptional outback place to stay. So make it your stop off and confirm our findings!

  Beautiful views despite the cold wet weather. Room was prewarmed so it was toasty upon our arrival. Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Old world charm with modern amenities (like Wi-Fi).
