The new Magill Estate Cellar Door offers breathtaking views of the iconic Penfolds vineyards, a perfect setting for visitors to immerse themselves in the history and spirit of Penfolds.

Join a member of the Penfolds team on a journey through the foundation of Penfolds as Australia’s leading red wine producer. Your tour starts with a visit to the Grange Cottage; the original home of Dr Christopher and Mary Penfold before viewing the Magill Estate winery, vintage cellar and underground drives where you will discover the gems hidden within.

Your tour concludes with an intimate tasting of Penfolds Most awarded and sought after wines including one vintage of Grange.

    Fun and really interesting to learn about one of our most iconic products. Tour guide knowledgeable, friendly and more than accommodating. Wines delicious. Great experience

    Our guide Gigi is a font of information. Gigi is passionate about the history and heritage within the Penfold family dream. She displays a knowledge of the process second to none.     The visit and explanation are fun but not really useful for wine's professional as the tasting, the staff is kind and smart but you feel every time in the hurry during the tasting and the staff is not qualified to respond to you when you ask basic question ( when you are a professional of wine) Definitely, if you are just interested tourist this place is good but if you work in wine industry, pass your path.

    Had the best experience. Sam was our tour guide, he was very knowledgeable and super friendly. The tour wouldn’t of been the same with Sam. Loved every minute of it.

    I had a private tour on the day I had booked with Eugene! Very informative, esp about the founder, Mary Penfolds - that is right, a woman was responsible for the original winemaking! Love that! Enjoyed a tour of her cottage, saw where the grapes are pressed, separated, fermented etc. And loved going into the cellars. Tasting was handled beautifully with 6 wines, including The Grange. Fascinating info on the wines, the regions, and the history of this winery. Highly recommend for wine lovers, and wine drinkers! PS - my family did the basic tour and enjoyed that too!!!

    Very bad service handle by that tall Machel. Don, t know why Penfords hire that guy. Totally damage Penfords brand. Looks like he do not like Aisa people. He is a white people first's person.

    Instructor Paul kindly spoke English to understand easily for us (not native English speaker). We enjoyed winery tour and tasting their luxualy line (Photo) with lesson. If you like wine, this experience is not expensive but great.

    Only two of us for the afternoon tour. Very interesting and educational. Highlight, was the tasting of 6 premium wines, including the famous Grange. Expensive, yes, but a chance to see and taste the ultimate Penfolds experience. Recommended.

    Great tour if you have limited time. We were the only ones on tour that day so our family felt like we were having our own private experience. The wines are superb! Only at 15 minute drive from our hotel.
