Fivebough Wetlands

*Please note that Fivebough Wetland is currently closed to the public due to Crown Lands undertaking significant environmental improvement works. Given the extended period of wet weather it is likely that the wetland will be closed to the public for some time. Visitors thinking of visiting the wetland should make prior contact with Crown Lands or Leeton Shire Council to determine that the wetland has been reopened to the public. Fivebough Swamp is two kilometres north-east of Leeton, New South Wales. The wetlands contain a habitat of exceptional quality for water birds, particularly waders. Around 174 different species of bird have been observed at Fivebough to date. Call into Leeton Visitors Information Centre prior to visiting to obtain maps and local bird information.
